Avior Introduces Its First Robotic Automated Machining Cell
Avior completed the installation of its first fully automated machining cell. The cell includes a 5-axis and a 3-axis machining centers operated by a Kuka robot. The system is fully integrated with the company’s ERP system and is fed by a conveyor that loads blocks of raw material or pallets. Using unique fixturing and a custom-made bar coding system, the cell provides maximum flexibility and can accommodate any mix of production without additional set up costs. Avior Establishes Composite Prototype and Tooling Fabrication Capability
Avior is now providing an engineering and development production cell for customer research and development projects. As customers introduce new designs and technologies Avior is providing a quick turnaround development capability of tooling and prototypes. The prototyping capability includes providing engineering design solutions, testing, tooling and prototype development. This cell is supported by the metallic and composite fabrication capabilities at Avior’s three production units.
